Saat menjadi mahasiswa, Wozniak pernah menjadi seorang hacker yang cukup ahli. Beliau diketahui pernah membobol jaringan telepon yang bisa menelepon jarak jauh tanpa membayar sedikit pun dan tanpa batas waktu. Alat yang dibuat semasa menjadi mahasiswa itu dikenal dengan nama ‘blue boxes’.

Melihat dari kasusnya itu, menurut saya stephen wozniak ini melakukan cyber crime. Kenapa? karena dia merugikan perusahaan telepon tersebut dengan membobol jaringan atau dengan kata lain mengeksploitasi sumber daya untuk kepentingan sendiri. Ya walaupun mungkin ke depannya dia menemukan sesuatu yang baru, tapi tetap saja caranya ilegal dan merugikan orang.

Menurut saya, google sudah jelas2 melakukan pelanggaran privasi seseorang, karena dia mengambil informasi seseorang tanpa izin. Ya walaupun untuk kepentingan informasi layanan yang bisa membantu kita mendapatkan informasi tertentu tapi tetep aja caranya itu salah. Seharusnya google meminta izin terlebih dahulu pada penduduk tersebut karena tidak semua orang bisa memberi informasi pribadi untuk publik.
